We have a dedicated medication clinic designed to support the safe, effective administration of medicines while maintaining residents’ privacy and dignity. In 2026, we introduced a brand-new, bespoke clinic at High Oaks, purpose-built to reflect best practice and promote a safe, calm, and well-organised environment.
Medication plays a vital role in the health and wellbeing of our residents, and our ethos is centred on safe medication practice. Residents are individually assessed for their ability to self-medicate, and where appropriate, are supported to do so safely to promote independence.

Where residents are unable to manage their own medication, our trained staff provide supportive, person-centred support. This includes prompting, reassurance, and clear communication to encourage understanding and engagement, while ensuring medication is taken safely and in line with individual care plans.
All medication is administered by trained and competency-assessed staff, with clear policies and regular checks in place to ensure ongoing compliance with CQC standards. We administer approximately 5,000 medication doses each month, supported by robust systems and a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
